Operation Full ThrottleThe American Legion Riders, Department of Florida, has established criteria to earn the Department of Florida Participation Patch. The patch will be awarded one time a year at the Annual American Legion Riders Summit. The criteria established are as follows:

  1. Riding as an individual, a passenger or in a group, ON A MOTORCYCLE OR TRIKE, visit two (2) Posts in each District within the State of Florida.
  2. There is a one-year time limit to complete your visits. The time limit runs from 1 February to 31 January annually.
  3. You must provide a photo with yourself and your motorcycle or trike at the Post you visit with the Post number visible. Photos taken with cell phones will have a GPS location and time stamp that will be included.
  4. You must also document your visits on the attached sheet, with a verification signature and printed name from a member of that Post (bartender, Post Officer, ALR Officer).
  5. The verification sheet and photos must be submitted by the first Saturday in February, prior to the Annual ALR Summit. This will give the ALR Committee time to review and approve all submitted paperwork.
  6. The final approving authority for all submitted documents will be the ALR Chair.
  7. Once all documentation has been reviewed and approved, the patch will be awarded during the General Session membership meeting at the ALR Summit.
