Boys State
Young men throughout the country learn firsthand how government works during a weeklong camp held in Tallahassee.
Children & Youth
A program to strengthen the family unit, support organizations that help children in need, and provide communities with well-rounded programs to provide hope and opportunity for young people facing difficult challenges.
Employer Awards
The American Legion recognizes companies and organizations that provide job opportunities to Veterans and workers with disabilities.
Homeless Veteran Outreach
The American Legion understands this cause is a huge concern and has put forth the Homeless Veterans Task Force to urge each State Department to work with their local public and private sector agencies and organizations to ensure local services and resources are available to homeless veterans and their families.
JROTC / ROTC
A national activity administered through local Legion sponsored clubs.
Junior Shooting Sports

A program designed to provide high school students with a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Constitution of the United States while offering scholarship opportunities.
POW/MIA Remembrance
This program maintains unwavering support for the full accounting of all U.S. military personnel taken as prisoners of war, missing or killed in action on foreign soil.
PROJECT: VetRelief
The newest program of the American Legion, Department of Florida that provides service members and their families assistance in their time of need.
Scholarships
The American Legion offers a number of scholarships and other resources to assist young people in their pursuit of higher education.
School Medals
A program designed to place emphasis on the development of the qualities of courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship and service.
Scouting
American Legion posts worldwide charter more than 2,500 Scouting units and provide many others with material support, sponsorship dollars, and scholarships.
Special Olympics
The American Legion, Department of Florida has partnered with Special Olympics Florida to help support our children and youth from all walks of life.
Women Veterans Advocacy
A program that is made up of an anonymous group of woman that come together to help each other comp with transitioning from active duty and dealing with physical and mental health issues.
Youth Law Cadet
The American Legion, Department of Florida has teamed up with the Florida Highway Patrol to create a week long program that provides a hands on learning experience with insight into the operations of law enforcement agencies.
