This is a two-day informative Post Service Officer class that covers all veteran benefits. Certificate and certification card provided upon completion. Pre-Registration is required, go to https://bit.ly/3vw3IpQ. Attendance is required on both days. Pre-Registration required. **Limited Seating**

Open to all Legionnaires. This meeting will provide a review of the Department’s finances during the past year and address financial issues as needed.
10:30 am – 12:30 pm Post Membership Training International Ballroom
This course will review the main question: “Where do we go from here?” The course instructor will review the new electronic way to process membership, tactics, and discuss how to properly execute the membership plan and achieving 100% Membership.
11:00 am – 12:30 pm Food Handler’s Class Camelia / Dogwood
This class is for food handlers to provide best practices and procedures to manage risk while handling and processing food and beverages and how to protect your Post. Pre-Registration required, go to: https://bit.ly/3OpnMTC.
11:00 am – 12:00 pm Buddy Check Training Fuchsia / Gardenia
Class to give out information and training on the importance of performing regular buddy checks.
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm Internal Affairs Commission International Ballroom
This meeting will cover reports from the Constitution & By-Laws, Credentials, Disaster Preparedness, POW-MIA, Resolutions, Time & Place, and Special Rules committees. Each Post can send one delegate to this meeting to vote on matters that will be decided. All voting members must have a ribbon, which can be picked up at registration.
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm Fundraising Class Fuchsia / Gardenia
Legionnaires can expect to learn about a variety of fundraising techniques that can boost other Post initiatives.
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm Department Executive Committee Meeting International Ballroom
This meeting will cover current Post matters, budget approval and general Department announcements. **Only Executive Committee Members can address the Committee**
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm Post Operations Training Camelia / Dogwood
This course will provide general instruction on how to run a successful Post. Topics will include an explanation of The American Legion Organization, officer responsibilities, Post programs & business, social functions, Post audits, public relations, challenges and preparation, and helpful Post resources.
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm Legion Riders District Chairmen Meeting Hibiscus / Iris
All Legion Riders District Chairmen will learn about their role as a District Chairman and the year’s upcoming events.
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm 2022 Convention Kick-Off Party Poolside

Honor Society of female members of the American Legion. Female members of the Legion are encouraged to attend and learn the benefits of becoming involved with this group.

Learn how to put History Narratives and Yearbooks together and best practices to maintain your Post’s history.
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm Post Sgt-at-Arms, Color & Honor Guard Training Hibiscus / Iris
This class will cover in detail the expected duties and responsibilities of a Post Sgt-at-Arms and how your Color & Honor guard can be more involved with Legion and community events.

As a spiritual leader, the chaplain is an integral part of all American Legion ceremonies. Learn about your role as Chaplain for Legion events, prayer writing, promoting Four Chaplains Sunday, providing spiritual leadership, and submitting annual reports to outline your Post’s achievements from the year.

This course will cover details pertaining to the duties and responsibilities of a Post Adjutant.
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm FALPA Executive Board Meeting Narcissus / Orange
5:15 pm – 6:15 pm FALPA General Meeting Narcissus / Orange
Florida American Legion Press Association meeting. Officers and members expected to attend; open to all Legionnaires, Auxiliary, and SAL members. Become a member and gain your membership card / press pass. This meeting will review tips / advice on creating and updating post bulletins and newsletters. This course will also cover a brief post public relations overview.
