This is a two-day, informative VA&R class that covers all veteran benefits. Certificate and card provided upon completion. Call Bekki Tibbs at 407.295.2631 for more information. Attendance required both days. Pre-Registration required. *Limited seating* Click here to pre-register.
11:00am – 12:30pm Food Handlers Class Crystal N-Q
Class given by Food Safety Certifications, LLC. Certificate will be given at the end of class. This course is intended to provide certification to those in attendance on food safety training for your Post. The course will cover key areas including Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-contamination & Allergens, Time & Temperature, as well as Cleaning & Sanitation. *Certification good for 3 years*
12:00pm – 1:00pm Judge Advocate Round Table Miami
This course will cover how to advise the different sections of the Legion and how to interpret the Constitution and By-Laws of the Post, District, or Area.
1:00pm – 2:00pm Dept. Finance Committee Meeting Atlanta/Boston
Open to all Legionnaires. This meeting will provide a review of the Department’s finances during the past year and address financial issues as needed.
1:30pm – 3:00pm Chaplain’s Training Anaheim
All Chaplains welcome. Meet other Chaplains; review the Chaplains Handbook, take part in an open forum for questions and concerns.
2:15pm – 3:30pm Internal Affairs Commission Royal Ballroom
This meeting will cover reports from Constitution & By-Laws, Credentials, Disaster Preparedness, POW-MIA, Resolutions, Time & Place, and Special Rules committees. Each Post can send one delegate to this meeting to vote on the matters that will be decided. All voting members must have a ribbon, which can be picked up at registration.
2:45pm – 4:00pm Sgt. At Arms Training Miami
This course will cover in detail the expected duties of a Post Sgt-at Arms.
3:30pm – 5:30pm Legion Riders Chairman Meeting Chicago
This will cover Area and District reports, By Laws, Charters, EOY Report, Awards, and 2019-2020 Goals.
3:45pm – 5:00pm Dept. Executive Committee Meeting Atlanta/Boston
This meeting will cover current Post matters, budget approval and general Department announcements.

4:00pm – 5:30pm Post Commander Class Crystal N-Q
This course will cover details pertaining to the duties of Commander at Post level.
7:00pm – 8:30pm 2019 Convention Kick-Off Event Canary Ballroom

Adjutants are urged to attend. Learn the duties and role the Adjutant plays at the Post.
