It’s hard to believe it’s June, and Convention is already here. It would be wonderful if you could attend, even if you only come up for the day and help elect your new officers. A wonderful highlight of the convention is seeing the End of the Year awards. Some of those include Chaplain, Post Adjutant, Law officer, Firefighter, and Teacher. I am honored to serve you all and look forward to being your American Legion Department Second Vice. On a side note, June is also a very busy month for the veteran community. The whole month of June is PTSD awareness month. June 6 is D-Day. June 12 is Women’s Veterans Day. June 14 is both the Army birthday and Flag Day. June 23 is the Coast Guard Auxiliary’s birthday.
