8:00 am – 4:00 pm Service Officer School – Day 1 Grand Sierra B
This is a two-day informative VA&R class that covers all veteran benefits. Certificate and certification card provided upon completion. Required to attend both days. *Pre-Registration required (limited seating), go to: floridalegion.org/classes
8:00 am – 9:00 am Buddy Check Training Grand Sierra G
This class will provide essential information and training on the importance of performing regular buddy checks to ensure the well-being of fellow veterans.
8:00 am – 10:00 am Post Operations Training Grand Sierra H-I
This course will provide essential instruction on managing a successful Post. Topics will include an overview of the American Legion organization, officer responsibilities, Post programs, and business operations, social functions, audits, public relations, and how to address common challenges. Additionally, participants will gain insight into helpful resources for Posts, including the specific duties of the Post Finance Officer.
9:30 am – 10:30 am Homeless Veterans Outreach Training Grand Sierra G
This class is designed to gather vital information to help improve support and resources for homeless veterans across the state.
9:30 am – 10:30 am Post Historian / Social Media Training Grand Sierra F
Learn how to compile History Narratives and Yearbooks, along with best practices for preserving your Post’s history. Social media training will also be provided to help enhance your Post’s online presence.
10:00 am – 11:00 am Oratorical Training Antigua 3-4
Area, District, and Post Oratorical Chairs are encouraged to attend. This training will cover the rules for conducting contests at each level, important contest dates and deadlines, and provide a forum to address any questions.
10:30 am – 12:00 pm Post Adjutant Training Grand Sierra H-I
This course will cover detailed duties and responsibilities of a Post Adjutant.
11:00 am – 12:00 pm PROJECT: VetRelief (PVR) Grand Sierra G
Attendees can expect to learn more about the PROJECT VetRelief program and how it helps Florida’s veterans with financial assistance and suicide prevention.
11:00 am – 12:00 pm Post Judge Advocate Training Grand Sierra F
This course will cover how to advise the various sections of the Legion and how to interpret the Constitution and By-Laws at the Post, District, and Area levels. It will also include a mock trial to demonstrate how to preside over a trial effectively.
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Department Finance Committee Meeting Grand Sierra G
This meeting will provide a review of the Department’s year-to-date finances, including an audit review, and address any financial issues as needed. All Legionnaires are welcome to attend.
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Legion Riders Meeting for District & Area Chairs Antigua 3-4
ALR District & Area Chairs will learn about their role and the year’s upcoming events. All ALR Chairs are invited.
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Membership Basic Training Grand Sierra H-I
This course will provide an overview of membership recruiting, retention strategies, and available awards. Designed for those new to membership efforts, it will cover the basics of building and maintaining a strong and engaged membership base.
1:00 pm- 2:00 pm Women Veterans Outreach Training Grand Sierra F
All women veterans are encouraged to attend. The goal of this outreach is to raise awareness of the resources available to women veterans in Florida and to encourage them to sign up for these valuable services.
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Post Sgt-at-Arms, Color Guard & Honor Guard Class Grand Sierra G
This class will cover the detailed duties of a Post Sgt-at-Arms and explore how your Color Guard and Honor Guard can become more involved in Legion and community events.
2:30 pm – 3:30 pm Food Handler’s Class Grand Sierra F
This class is designed for food handlers and will cover best practices and procedures to manage risks while handling and processing food and beverages, as well as how to protect your Post. *Pre-Registration required (limited seating), go to: floridalegion.org/classes
2:30 pm – 4:00 pm Post Commander’s Training Grand Sierra H-I
This course will cover detailed duties and responsibilities of a Post Commander.
3:00 pm – 5:00 pm Programs Fair Curacao 5-8
Discover the wide variety of programs we offer to support our community. From veterans’ assistance and youth scholarships to Americanism activities! Meet our Department Chairs and learn how to get involved. Programs featured at the fair include: Baseball, Blood Donor, Boys State, Children & Youth, Civil Air Patrol, Disaster Preparedness, JROTC, Oritorical, Project:VetRelief (PVR), Sea Cadet, Shooting Sports, Youth Law Cadet

Honor Society of female members of the American Legion. Female members of the Legion are encouraged to attend and learn the benefits of becoming involved with this group.

Learn how to build relationships with your Legislators and effectively advocate for issues that matter to the Legion.

Legionnaires can expect to learn a variety of fundraising techniques designed to boost Post initiatives and support their community efforts.
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm Veterans Benefits Grand Sierra G
This class will provide valuable information about the available VA benefits and how veterans can access and utilize them.
3:30 pm- 4:15 pm Post Chaplain’s Training Grand Sierra F
As a spiritual leader, the Chaplain is an integral part of all American Legion ceremonies. In this session, you’ll learn about your role as Chaplain at Legion events, how to write meaningful prayers, promote Four Chaplains Ceremony, provide spiritual leadership, and submit annual reports outlining your Post’s achievements for the year.
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm Membership Advanced Training Grand Sierra H-I
This session provides detailed instruction on how to use MyLegion.org for processing membership, managing members, running reports, and understanding the “My Groups” feature.
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm  Legion Riders General Session Palm 3
Strongly recommended for all ALR members to attend. This meeting will cover Legion Riders Reports, upcoming events, SOP changes, and reporting for the year.
