Other Resolutions

The following Resolutions were received past the 40-day deadline required by the Department By-Laws and must follow the process below:

  • A majority vote, 50% + 1, is required during the Internal Affairs Committee meeting on Thursday to allow the resolution to be heard despite being late.
  • If that vote passes, the resolution may proceed to a regular committee vote for a recommendation to approve or reject.
  • On Saturday, a two-thirds vote, 66%, of the delegates is required for the resolution to be heard on the Convention floor.
  • If the vote to hear it passes, the resolution will then be subject to a regular vote by the delegates.
