We are excited to announce the Motorcycle Skill Enhancement Range Training Course for all American Legion Riders as part of the 2025 ALR Summit in Orlando, FL.

Cost:
$35 per rider per range session

What’s Included:

• Bag of training materials and giveaways
• A Project Vet Relief/Suicide Prevention $20 Bike Raffle Ticket for a chance to win a $25,000 voucher for a new/used motorcycle

Course Highlights:

This course provides riders with a valuable opportunity to refresh and enhance their riding skills, focusing on:

• Accelerating, shifting, and stopping in short distances
• Navigating low-speed, decreasing-radius curves
• Stopping straight and performing tight turns from a stop
• Maneuvering in limited-space scenarios (24ft or 20ft box)
• Quick acceleration, swerving, and stopping
• Judging and refining skills for negotiating multiple curves
• Low-speed weaves
• Tight turns from a turn after stopping quickly
• A skill evaluation to track your improvement

Participation Requirements:

To participate, riders must meet the following criteria:

• Valid Driver’s License with a motorcycle endorsement
• Proof of motorcycle insurance
• Sturdy over-the-ankle footwear: Work boots, high-top basketball shoes, or hiking boots qualify. Fashion boots with heels and Converse sneakers are discouraged.
• Protective Clothing: Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt or jacket
• Full-finger gloves
• Eye protection: Prescription glasses, sunglasses, safety glasses, goggles, or a helmet face shield
• DOT or similar approved helmet
• A two-wheel motorcycle (motorcycles can be provided if needed, 250cc). Trikes are not eligible.
