Florida’s Fallen Memorial and Memorial Day Remembrance

If you haven’t seen it before, now is the time! The Florida’s Fallen Memorial is being installed in the Oviedo Cemetery, right across the street from Post 243. The Memorial has over 400 crosses, representing Floridians who have died in military service for our Country since September 11, 2001. The individual crosses have names, military branch, rank, hometown, casualty date, age, photographs, and awards. The Memorial also includes flags of our military branches and large crosses representing the major campaigns from American history, the dates of those conflicts, and the total number of deaths incurred.
Memorial is staffed daily from 0800-2000 starting Sunday, May 17th
It will remain in place for two weeks through May 30th .
