Event Temp Application

The 100th Convention of The American Legion, Department of Florida is soon underway and we want YOU! We need four (4) motivated patriots to work as temps alongside our staff, to ensure this event is a great success. We are looking for individuals who have great pride and respect for our country, and the veterans who have risked their lives defending it.

You must be tech savvy and possess excellent people skills, experience in retail or as a cashier is a huge plus.

Some responsibilities will include working in our Emblem Sales store; meet and greet attendees; running materials to classes; assisting with audio/visual setup; and breakdown of the event.

You must be able to attend a brief 2-hour training session on July 2nd, at The American Legion, Department of Florida Headquarters, and work up to 12 hours daily on July 5th, 6th & 7th at our venue, the World Center Marriott. You will be paid an hourly rate of $10, upon the conclusion of the event. Overnight hotel accommodations will be provided July 5th and 6th at the World Center Marriott, by the Department of Florida. Meals and transportation costs will NOT be provided or reimbursed.
