35th Annual Detachment of Florida Convention |
| Orlando, FL - The Sons of The American Legion begin the 35th
Annual Detachment Convention at the Rosen Centre Hotel. Over 500 delegates
were registered from Squadrons from across Florida. The Sons are also celebrating their 75th Anniversary this year.

| During the Membership Committee Report, the Detachment Vice
Commanders presented Detachment Commander Mark Davis with the "Fruits of
there labor". These were harvested from the seeds that were planted during

| A special guest of the Sons was National Commander Earl Ruttkofsky from the Detachment of Michigan. Earl thanked the Sons for everything that we do for our veterans and the children and youth of Florida. He commented about his observations of our convention "What you do is OUTSTANDING!!!" |
