Timothy C. Bristol, 39, Deerfield Beach, FL, formerly of Clayton, NY, died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Marshall Medical Center, Sacramento, CA, due to respiratory distress due to multiple organ failure. He had been visiting friends.

Mr. Bristol was born April 10, 1965 in Watertown, NY, the son of William Patrick and Patricia Aubertine Bristol. He graduated from Thousand Islands High School in 1983 and received his bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics in 1987 from S.U.N.Y. Potsdam.

He was currently employed by Campus Management, Inc., Boca Raton, FL and had worked previously for Blockbuster Video and Fusive.com as a computer specialist.

While in high school, he was an All-Star in three sports. He was a member of the Potsdam State Bears Men's basketball team coached by Jerry Walsh, who in 1986, were undefeated National Champions. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2001 with his teammates at Jerry Welsh Gymnasium with his family and friends present.

He was an avid football fan. He enjoyed his trips back to the North Country to visit with his family and friends.

Mr. Bristol was a member of the Son's of the American Legion Post 162, Deerfield Beach, Fl, and he was recently promoted to Commander. A memorial service is being planned for friends and fellow Legion members in Deerfield Beach.

A Prayer Service was held Monday, December 6, 2004, at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton, at 9:15 a.m. followed by his burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Clayton.

Mr. Bristol is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Bristol, Clayton; his father, William P. Bristol, Clayton and Leesburg, FL; his 2 brothers, Michael P. Bristol, Tallahassee, FL and William J. "Billy" Bristol, Buffalo; his sister, Barbara J. & Ronald Bacon, Massena, NY; his 3 nieces and 3 nephews, Tricia, Timothy, Traci, Taylor, Trevor and Tyler Bacon, all of Massena.
