Fred C. Weigel, 85, of 200 Homewood Avenue, Debary, FL 32713, who retired in 1979 as the terminal manager of the Palm Beach International Airport, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at Emory L. Bennett Veteran Administration Nursing Home, Daytona Beach.

Mr. Weigel, a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, was born in New York City. He moved to this area in 1982 from Palm City. He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, Orange City, the American Legion, a Life Member of Sons of the American Legion Squadron 120, Holly Hill, a continuous member of the SAL since 1933, Disabled American Veterans and Veteran of Foreign Wars. He was an Eagle Scout, youth and adult Boy Scouts leader, and member of the Order of the Arrow, receiving the Silver Beaver Award.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Wilma; three sons, Frederick, West Palm Beach, Robert, Cincinnati, and Richard, Manchester, N.Y.; a brother, Richard, Richfield Springs, N.Y.; a sister, Winifred Vicchiariello, Port Jervis, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
